Moving Day!
Hello! Joey is hauling boxes out to his truck as we speak so we can take our first load over to the new place and get our keys!!!
I’m being ever so helpful by, uhhh… posting?
Okay, so maybe I’m not being so helpful, but in my defense, I volunteered to spend all of Monday and Tuesday painting all by myself. So there.
In lieu of all the moving madness, I’m giving you a quick and semi-wordless weekend recap post.
New and exciting deliveries:
How to use up leftover eggplant parm:
Make it an open-faced sandwich!
Friday date night:
View driving into Boulder. What the…?
Weekly Saturday Farmers’ Market trip:
This was obviously the only notable purchase.
Sunday morning family breakfast:
Things that went unphotographed:
- I had a 6-mile training run scheduled yesterday and it totally kicked my butt. By mile
onefive, I was just so over it. I was tired, it was hot and I was not in the mood for either. As much as I wanted to just throw in the towel and go back to bed, I let myself take a few good breaks and powered through. It felt so good to be done and I was proud of myself for sucking it up and doing it. And then I laughed to myself as I escaped to the air conditioning and thought about how Joey still had 5 more miles to do. - We signed our lease on Friday night!
- Paint samples were purchased!
Off to get our keys, then I have work and a farewell dinner for a co-worker tonight!

What was the most memorable thing you did this weekend?
The most memorable thing this weekend was our first wedding anniversary!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Wow, so exciting that you signed your lease and are moving in! Good luck with all of the moving!
Thanks, Lauren. You can send me a congratulatory piece of cobbler if you really want to 😛
congrats and good luck with all your moving stuff girl 🙂 Most memorable? seeing Harry Potter in IMAX tonight!!
Hope you liked the movie!!
Mighty useful. Make no mistake, I apprciaete it.
Good luck with all the moving stuff!
most memorable thing this weekend – seeing harry potta 😉
Ahhh, I saw it too!
Eee so exciting that you’re moving! I’ll be moving in a month and a half, and I’m already getting giddy over the prospect of being able to decorate and stuff 😀 Although I wish I could skip the whole packing/transporting part… not looking forward to that. This weekend has actually been pretty chill for me… I went to a multicultural festival that’s been going on in my city, and watched a lot of different performances and sampled some different foods. Was good times 🙂
Oooh, that sounds so fun. The festival that is, not having to move 😛 Will you decorate for me? I have NO eye for design.
Nice job powering through that run. Finishing is the best feeling.
And happy moving.I feel for you since you two JUST moved… but I also think this is a really good and exciting step!
I know, no more moving for at least a year, please!
Looks like you had a fabulous weekend, Lauren! Congrats on your 6 mile run, too! I hate when I’m “not feeling it” during runs and have even thrown the towel in early a few times. Glad to hear you were able to power thru it though. You are awesome! 😀
I was glad to have a running buddy to distract me 🙂
Good luck with all the moving stuff! And I got new chia seeds in the mail Friday–it must just be THAT time. New chia seed time. Most memorable part of my weekend was reading and relaxing! I love time to do NOTHING, and look forward to/remember it more than any more specific activities.
I would love some down time right about now!
Congrats on signing that lease! Good luck moving 😀
Thank you, Jenny!
My memorable moment – spent the weekend at the beach in celebration of our anniversary 🙂
Congrats on moving!
Thanks, Helen and a Happy Anniversary to you!
Hey girl…I moved this weekend too! Away from my beloved Boulder to Denver…but I think I’m going to love it here as well. 🙂 Hope your move is going smoothly!
Oh my gosh! What a loss for Boulder 😦 But I have a new found love for Denver and I’m sure you will have a great time there!
Have I told you how much I love your Winnie the Pooh mug?! ❤ it!
Chia Seeds!! I've been loving those in my pancakes recently. 🙂
It’s my mom’s mug, actually. But I totally bought it for her 🙂
