Hurried Car Eating

October 18, 2011

There’s been a little too much of this going on lately.

And no, I’m not talking about smoothie consumption, although lord knows too much of that might be going on too.

You can never have too many smoothies, right?

Note the tupperware container and the fact that I’m walking down the stairs to my car.

My car, the prime setting for many of my meals lately.

I’m sure anyone driving near my during one of these “car meals” thinks it’s pretty funny to see someone stuffing leftover veggie burger in their mouth as fast as humanely possible.

Why is is that when you want to hit a red light, you can’t seem to do so?

But really, it’s  not funny.

Because hurried distracted meals are not enjoyable.

And no one likes to see tupperware.

And that includes me.

This post has mostly just convinced me that I take too many pictures in the car.

Oh, and that I need to manage my time better.  So no more eating and driving!

Drinking and driving on the other hand…

Totally acceptable.

But only if it’s kombucha.

Do you ever eat in the car?

What’s your worst eating habit?

Any time management tips?

Dang girl! That’s a lot of car eating ;-P

I snack in the car, but I don’t think I’ve gone full on meal in a tupperware container just yet.

I’m crazy on lists and always early every where I go…I think it’s just built into me.

I don’t eat in the car often because I find it too difficult. After transporting soley by motorcycle for a few years, I have lost my ability to multi task while driving. (Not that I ever had one. Or that anyone really does!)

I’m a horrible multi-tasker, which makes car eating even worse.

I’ve had waaay too many meals in the car. And that means 1. I’m not taking enough time to eat 2. I don’t enjoy the food as much 3. I have crumbs alllll over my car 😉 hahaha

I’m NOT a clean car eater. Down with car eating! No more tupperware! Sit back and enjoy 🙂

But keep on drinking that kombucha 😉

You should have seen my seat after that rice cake…

That is a lot of car eating for sure! But it’s all pretty tasty looking car eating 🙂
But I don’t really like eating from my lap because it’s so messy!
Worst eating habit? Granging – it’s my downfall!

All your meals look so good for car meals, better than my table meals!
I like to get up a little early in the morning so I have time to really enjoy my breakfast while reading blogs. It’s so relaxing 🙂

    • October 18, 2011 3:01 PM

I totally agree! I may eat lunch in my car, but breakfast is always leisurely 🙂

I eat in the car a good bit. I am terrible at sitting down to eat. I always multi-task. Like breakfast is eaten while dressing or packing lunches, luch while working on emails, etc., and dinner usually eaten in between a gazllion other things….bad habit!

    • October 18, 2011 3:02 PM

I’m sure with two little ones it’s hard NOT to do that!

  7. October 18, 2011 12:59 PM

I try not to eat on the run, but I always eat while typing or reading….I guess thats a bad habit! 🙂

    • October 18, 2011 3:02 PM

I do the same, but at least I can take my time that way.

Mmm, pic #2 looks tasty, in tupperware or not! I’m a clean freak about my car, so there’s no food allowed, haha. I do eat while watching TV or reading, which I like, but I know it also distracts me from enjoying food and eating at a reasonable pace. Time management tip=find more time in the day. And when you figure out how, let me know the secret 😀

Seriously! I always want there to be more morning hours. The afternoon is free to zoom past though, especially if I’m working 😛

I agree, I hate car-eating. I just feel really gross with my filled tummy being kind of restrained by the seatbelt.
My worst eating habit? Not chewing or putting bites into my mouth if I’m already chewing.
Can’t help it though if it’s super tasty 🙂

The only time I ever eat in the car is my snack on the way home from school. I hate car eating!
