In the Midst of the Move
My posting mojo is all off this week due to my 2-day absence. My Reader had something like 80 posts to read and now I just feel behind on everything 😦 But I’m doing my best to power through things. My apartment still looks like a tornado hit it.
Am I the only one who hates having a messy living space? It makes me feel so disorganized!
Good thing I have tomorrow off and four days off next week. Oh wait, that’s not a good thing because I still have bills to pay… will someone remind my manager of that fact?
Anyways, how about some random and badly lit moving pictures, huh?
First meal in the new place was a tortilla pizza. See, I know how to be resourceful when I really need to.
This is what you do when your sleeping on a mattress in the middle of your living room and obviously don’t have bedside tables.
Which reminds me, I need to toss this “Beer” sign.
I’m the opposite of a hoarder and have been throwing everything away. For someone who’s extremely emotional, I certainly have no qualms about tossing things that are supposed to have sentimental value.
Or things that have sentimental value to others. Joey has been whining about the loss of Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men since yesterday. I wish I was kidding.
Lunches have taken place in odd places such as this.
Clearly, we don’t have real chairs here yet.
And because everything else in this apartment is just thrown together, lunch probably should be too.
On second thought, I shouldn’t have given this stool back to my mom. It makes such a nice backdrop.
And the view was even better.
Finding the Garmin in this pile was like looking in one of those “I Spy” books.
Note: There are way too many stuffed bears in this picture.
I think we all know what I did with them. If not, see Grumpy Old Men, above.
And speaking of good views, at least we were able to take a moving break and head to the Rockies game where we had tickets behind home plate!
For the record, Troy only gets cuter the closer you get.
Ty Wiggington does not, but thanks for this awesome picture anyways, Joey…
Reason #3459834 not to trust Joey with my camera.
Home plate tickets are awesome. It makes it easier to see Huston Street blow it in the top of the 9th.
This post should be called “How to be sarcastic.”
But I assure you, I’m not being sarcastic when I say I love the color of our room!
Don’t judge my bed-making skills or my old deflated pillow, I love that thing. Actually it’s Joey’s but I’ve commandeered it.
I love the way the mellow green contrasts with all the white in our room. See?
Now if only we could find a bathroom color we like.
And if the massive piles of stuff could put themselves away.
And if I could suddenly be gifted with an eye for design.
Off for a massage!

What color is your room/bathroom? I think this is the first time I’ve had a “normal” colored room. I’ve had bright yellow, purple, hot pink and bright blue.
Do you have an eye for design? I need tips, people!!
We spent our first night in our house on a mattress pad on the kitchen floor! Lack of furniture is not funny at the time but is sure funny after the fact when you look back on it. I wish I had an eye for design but that’s something I was not born with. But your place looks great, looks like you have a lot of nice space to work with!
We do, now I just have to put an effort into working it the right way!
Haha I love the random food photos. My bathroom is a soft light green. Kind of normal I guess…I have no eye for design, I used to think I did, but that was when I played Sims 3 alot… haha 🙂
Bahaha!
I can’t stand messy living spaces, either, and I foresee MANY of them in my near future. Between packing up all my old stuff and moving into my new place… ugh things are going to get a little crazy. But it’s all worth it in the end. Right? Riiiight? Please tell me right. I’m kind of dreading it lol. But I AM looking forward to decorating. My room right now is this purplish/lavender/gray, and I love it, but I don’t know what my new place is gonna look like. I love yours though! I think it looks great 😀 As for decorating, I’ve been looking through some interior decorating magz for ideas. It’s kind of overwhelming, though, because so many things look good!
RIGHT! I agree that looking at decorating magazines is overwhelming and also frustrating because most are for houses, not apartments.
I really like that color.. I like softer colors in homes. The house we are in is painted a light brown- everywhere.Even the popcorn ceiling.
Ah, the popcorn ceiling. When we remodeled the house I grew up in, we added on a room so half the ceiling was popcorn-ed and half wasn’t. Probably not the best look 😛
Hi my name is Chelsey and I have over 300 posts in my reader right now. YOWZA!!!
PS – I tried those pancakes today – they were okay, but I think they needed something. I couldn’t put my fingers on it, but I could have used more chives!
I felt the same way about those pancakes. Such a bummer because they were really cute. I ate the leftovers with ketchup and hummus, because those two things manage to make everything taste better.
