Odds and Ends
But it’s me, so it’s probably more odds than ends.
I now have Google Reader.
And consequently will probably have “blog reading guilt” every time I see how many posts have suddenly piled up.
I like to set myself up for failure.
I always eat plums with a knife.
It’s easier, I swear.
This probably makes Joey nervous – he knows I don’t do well with knives…
I’ve been wanting to watch this movie all week.
Don’t even judge me. We all love seeing Jeff Bridges doing gymnastics, don’t we?
But settled for this one. Which is equally good, if only for the “You Make My Dreams Come True” dance scene.
If you haven’t already noticed, there’s some new things up in here.
New picture.
That looks slightly off every time I look at it. Is it just me?
It’s supposed to look “professional,” but I’m pretty sure it just looks sunburned.
Blogroll.
You should feel special if you’re on it.
And you shouldn’t feel un-special if you’re not on it. I was struck with momentary amnesia and couldn’t even remember which blogs I read.
I’m on Facebook!
I say that like I’m excited, but really, having a F-book page makes me highly anxious.
Story: On the drive to Santa Fe, in an attempt at linking my most recent post to my Facebook via iPhone, I accidentally shared the link on my personal Facebook page.
Hysteria ensued as I frantically tried to figure out how to delete the post before anyone saw.
Call me crazy but the thought of sharing my blog with people I wasn’t actually friends with in high school, pre-school teachers and co-workers of the past and present makes me feel slightly ill.
Anyways, for those of you who belong to this ever so understanding and supportive blog community, I invite you to check out my page and “like” it all you want.
Colorado weather is terrifying lately!
Every afternoon/evening it starts raining, which quickly progressing into pouring, plus lightning like you wouldn’t believe.

The next morning, the sun is shining and it’s like nothing ever happened. And this has been going on for weeks!
My life is forever changed by freezer jam.
Purchased (for $7!!!) at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market, which makes the Boulder Farmer’s Market seem small.
What’s freezer jam, you say? No cooking involved. Everything is just mashed together and stuck in the freezer.
Beautiful, no?
It tastes like the raspberry popsicles my mom bought us as kids. I love it. Now I just have to make it last until my next trip to Santa Fe.
I seriously had so much fun writing this post.
If you missed it, you should probably go back and check it out. Even better than all the fun I had writing it, was all the laughs I had reading your comments.
Off to check out what my Reader has in store for me!

Do you have Google Reader?
Have you seen 500 Days of Summer? If not, you need to get on that, NOW.
Is your weather equally crappy?
Haha ohhh blog reading guilt… how well I know you. I use Google Reader and have a love/hate relationship with it… I love that it makes things so convenient, but I hate how it stresses me out… I have to try to attend to it regularly because I get a little scared if the number gets too high. And I’m feelin’ ya on the crappy weather. Today is the first day that the sun decided to come out in probably ohhhh a week and a half. You look gorgeous in your new pic, but I feel kind of un-special 😉
Oh my god! I just broke my no using the computer after work rule so I could fix my blog roll. I read yours RELIGIOUSLY!! So sorry for forgetting 😦
I’ve had google reader for…as long as i’ve been blogging? hehe. yes…sometimes i feel a little overwhelmed when i see more than 50 unread posts…but i make sure i keep it to the ones i actually read daily to avoid feeling like “omg, so much new stuff.” haha.
and i love odds and ends posts! i eat all of my fruit (er…most of it…) with a knife. I hate biting into things like peaches, plums, apples, nectarines, etc.
I feel the same way about fruit! I feel like it’s so messy to bite into it. Odds and ends posts are where it’s at.
Three things:
1. I LOVE 500 Days of Summer! One of my all time favorite romantic comedies
2. I liked you on facebook 🙂
3. My boyfriend ALWAYS freaks out when I cut vegetables with knives! He tells me that it looks like I’m going to cut my fingers off 😦
1. Yay, glad you love it too!
2. Thank you!
3. My boyfriend says the same!
All kinds of new things going on around here! Can I just tell you that I’m appalled you are JUST getting a reader!??!?!
I’m always so behind on trends! You need to keep me in check.
I love 500 Days of Summer!
And I love that frozen jam!
Ohhh jeeez google reader. Blog reading guilt is the WORST! My google reader is aaaalways at 1000+.
I have never heard of either of those movies or freezer jam? Rock much?
And I don’t think anything looks off in that pic – you look awesome! 😀
Phew, I’m glad the picture is okay! I’d never heard of freezer jam until last weekend.
Haha the weather has been sucking here too! dont use Googe reader much though.. Love jam on my oats too ….hmm mm!
oh Google Reader is the best! Although I know what you mean about the guilt! because of the guilt i’ve separated categories of “must read” and “later when i have time” reads. i love blogs too much to delete any! it helps especially on the app when it suddenly says i’m 100 posts behind!
100 posts behind?! Ahh! I tried to only add the blogs I read on a daily basis so as to not overwhelm myself.
Hahahaha oh god girl…I need to seriously clean up my Google Reader…I have like five times the amount of subscriptions as you!
I have Google Reader, and sometime it just annoys the crap out of me. The guilt of having unread blog posts definitely gets old after a while, but overall, I’m a fan just because it saves me a ton of time. Random side note: Now that you’re on facebook, you should think about getting on Twitter too while you’re at it. It seems dumb at first, but then it quickly sucks you in. 🙂 Also, I really do need to see 500 Days of Summer. It’s been on my to-do list for a while now, but it keeps getting pushed out of my mind. Thanks for the reminder!
I loved 500 days of summer. Such a cute flick.
(500) Days of Summer is my favorite movie! I love Zooey Deschanel and the story is so unique!
