How to spend a quick $20 at Whole Foods
It’s easier than you think.
I just needed a few things. Cashews, dates, Ezekial wraps, chia seeds.
I left with raw organic cashews that are awesome!
Non-organic do not compare. These are huge and have a great crunch!
Oh and because GT’s Kombucha is back I needed me one of those too.
Fizzzzzzz
I also got dates and traded out my chia seeds for flax seeds because they were $5 cheaper and work the same way.
They were out of Ezekial wraps, bummer. I’m still not sure how I spent $20 but I blame the $10.99/pound cashews…
I was feeling unimaginative with my oats this morning. No nut butter, what?!
Whipped banana oats topped with cranberry orange granola, dry roasted valencia peanuts and a blob of mixed berry compote, the jar of which almost broke my wrist while I was trying to unscrew the lid.
Sometimes simple is best.
Lunch was simple too.
Since the oven was already on 400* for Tuesday night’s pizza I popped in two tiny acorn squash brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with salt and pepper.
Joey was so confused when I put these in our grocery cart. He kept asking “What are we going to do with them?” Eat them, of course!
Pretend this isn’t all wrinkly from being in the fridge overnight.
Paired with a couple of carrots + hummus and an unpictured Brown Cow Cherry Vanilla yogurt. Cream top is so so good!
I wasn’t sure how well this lunch would hold me over but it worked out perfectly 🙂
Looking forward to leftover pizza for dinner. The rest of my library co-workers will be green with envy I’m sure.
Thick delicious crust, yummmmmm
I have a feeling my homework may be postponed until after I look up/find a Turkey Trot to run on Thanksgiving. I’ve always wanted to run one!
Ever done a holiday race?
Happy Thursday, friends.
I’m actually impressed you made out of Whole Foods having only spent 20 bucks. I can never seem to make it out of there without having slapped down at least 50 dollars on stuff I didn’t really need. Ahhh…Whole Paycheck, why must you be so tempting with your amazing-looking produce and fun organic products?
Gosh, I know! Also I’m under the allusion that everything in WF is healthy and I should therefore buy anything and everything I want there.
I have never run a holiday race, but it’s a great idea!
