If you’re going to San Francisco
Be sure to take lots of pictures and stop in Morro Bay for lunch!
We left Anaheim at 8:45 and didn’t eat lunch until 3 — I was DYING! Much snackage was done in the car thanks to Great Harvest Cinnamon Chip bread, graham crackers and Trader Joe’s tapenade. We went to Shine Cafe and it was well worth the wait!
Feast your eyes on the “Famous Tempeh Taco.” Sprouted grain tortilla topped with a tempeh and quinoa mixture and a pile o’ purple cabbage, carrots and greens. The whole taco is drizzled with cilantro dressing with salsa on the side.
Is it just me or does this look more like a work of art than a taco? I promise there was tempeh, quinoa and tortilla under there somewhere and lots of it!
Joey had no trouble deciding on his lunch — “The Most Awesome Burrito Ever” and it was pretty darn awesome!
Sundried tomato tortilla stuffed with a pinto, cheese, quinoa mixture. I think there were sundried tomatoes in there too and it came with a side salad. We chowed down then hit the road again for another 5 hours but the scenery was so nice it hardly felt long at all 🙂
I swear we were driving up into the clouds!
😛
Today we biked from San Fran across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito, had lunch, took the ferry back to SF and went to the Giants game. It was a lot to fit in to one day and I’m sore and exhausted! I can’t remember the last time I rode a bike and I was not prepared for the bike seat to make my butt hurt so bad! More San Fran details to come but for now it’s time to catch some zzzzzz’s.
Good night 😮
Ahhh, you were in my beautiful city! SF is so wonderful and I’m impressed with your bikeride!
You are SO lucky to live somewhere so beautiful! I’m definitely jealous
