Weekday Things
Allow me to unload some thoughts I’ve had during the week on you.
1. I’m finding myself less and less inspired to write during the week. Or more like, I have less time to be thinking up things I want to write about. Help.
But. When I do get the itch to write, you better believe I’m doing it!
2. This the current forecast in CO.
Jealous?
3. I don’t get the Hunger Games thing. When did these books come out? How is that I’ve never heard of them, yet when the movie comes out, suddenly everyone and their mom is telling me they’ve already read the series.
It’s a series right??
4. I’m on a mission to follow every Food Network chef on Twitter. I just like to feel like I’m part of the Chopped family.
P.S. Alton Brown is as much of a jerk on Twitter as he is every time he’s on Next Food Network Star.
5. I’m terrified of touching this door for fear that all these beads will fall off and I’ll have to untangle them.
Have you even untangled a suitcase full of beads? I have and it’s not fun.
6. This granola is awesome.
7. I wish I remembered to wear this bracelet more often. Grandpa made it 🙂
Note the fancy heart-shaped clasp.
8. We’ve been eating tasty things this week.
Spinach and artichoke dip pizza. You need this in your life. Remind me to get you the recipe.
Thai beef tacos. Don’t even get me started on how I know nothing about buying meat and stood in front of the beef section for no less than 15 minutes at the grocery store.
9. Speaking of tasty things, I’m headed to the Melting Pot for their 5280 deal tonight.
5280, as in $52.80 per couple for a 4-course fondue dinner. Hell yes.
10. I’M SO GLAD IT’S FRIDAY.
I got home and felt like I needed a drink. You know, a green drink made with bananas and spinach. That’s the kind of drink people are referring to when they say that, right?
And now that the week is over, please join me and stop thinking weekday things. Only weekend things from now till Sunday.
******************************
Tell me 8-5-ers, does waking up before the sun is out ever get easier?!
What are you most excited to do this weekend?
What is the weather like where you live?
Fonduuueee, oh I’m so jealous. Haven’t had fondue in ages, it’s usually so expensive! I love following the chefs on Twitter too. Alton B. and Alex Guarneschelli(sp?) have QUITE the twitter relationship going on…I think they might be in love.
I was ahead of the game and read the books a year and a half ago.But you seriously need to read them. They’re so good.
I work opposite hours 4-11pm and I find it so brutal to stay up that late haha, because I am naturally such an early riser (like 5 AM) so working like that 5 nights a week almost kills me, I’m hope these shifts get easier 😉 You gotta try to read the Hunger Games, it is a really great book!
Hahaa, this was a great post and YES, I have read the Hunger Games AND YES, love them! 🙂 Amazing series I must say! The first book is the best. When I started reading it, I was at the dinner table trying to tell my husband about it and kept crying, hence it became the ‘ crying’ book, I would highly recommend it.
Loved your smoothie end of week drink comment, made my day, rock on…
It’s in the high 70’s here in Michigan and Spring is wayyyy early, so lovin’ it! 🙂 So, yeah my blog has been suffering more then the usual suffering! 🙂
Have to try and find that granola, it looks amazing, and hopin’ it’s Vegan! 🙂

Haha! The ONLY reason I knew anything about The Hunger Games before the movie is because I’d seen some other bloggers reading it around this time last year. To tell you the truth, I had no idea what it was about and figured it was some sort of ED fiction novel or something. After hearing more and MORE people saying that the book was awesome, I decided to check into it…I finished it in 4 days (and that is super fast for me) and then went to see the movie…which as per usual in today’s world was horribly disappointing. I’ve started the second book, but have to say without the motivation of a trip to the theater, I’m moving at a sluggish pace. I’ve only made it to chapter 2 and it’s been 3 weeks!
Love your bracelet! And the fact that it’s handmade by your grandfather makes it even more gorgeous!
That pizza looks insane…spinach and artichoke is one of the best pizza combos out there. And I totally feel you with the meat section. The first time I made a pot roast, I stood in front of the freezer at the store for like 20 minutes and then resorted to a phone call to my mom to ask her which cut to buy! LOL
